Zenith Ander is a Scottish-Australian actress based in Los Angeles.
She is a professional member of the prestigious BAFTA Los Angeles, Australians in Film, Scottish Screenwriters, Women in Moving Pictures (W.I.M.P.S), and is the founder of Female Film Connect, which boasts over 1,600 Los Angeles based film professional members.
She began her acting career in Children’s Theatre as a teenager, cast in a multitude of shows over a number of years produced by the acclaimed ‘Cartoon Creations’, along with other theatre companies including the Jack of All Trades' production at Ripponlea Estate.
Her debut television role as Tania Morgan on the multi-award winning ‘Blue Heelers’, premiered on Channel 7 in Australia while she was still studying at The William Bates Academy of Performing Arts in Melbourne, Australia.
Zenith’s theatre career has continued to expand exponentially. She starred as Anneke in the Blue Room Theatre, Perth, Australia’s production of ‘Shallow Heart’. Soon after, she was cast in the Melbourne Short and Sweet Festival production of ‘The Knitting Circle’, performed at the highly regarded Melbourne Arts Centre. In Sydney, she was cast in Peter Flaherty’s ‘Perfidy’ for Crash Test Drama. She is a live script reader for television professionals in Hollywood through Live Read LA, and has studied improv at the renowned Upright Citizen’s Brigade and Groundlings theater schools. She subscribes to the Meisner technique of acting, and was accepted into Advanced Study at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, where she studied under Howie Deutch and Allen Barton, as well as at Playhouse West with Robert Carnegie.
Her film career spans Australia, France and the United States. She has starred in a number of short films, her first was in the lead role of Adrielle in ‘Left of Centre’ before joining the supporting cast of the international feature film ‘Blonde’. More recently, she has worked with Special Order Productions in Los Angeles on the immersive films ‘STRAIN’ for the World Health Organization, and ‘Detroit’ for SCI-Arc. Zenith’s international television career began as a host and interviewer on Melbourne’s Channel 31. She presented shows such as ‘Pathways’ and ‘In Search Of’. This work garnered the attention of ‘Neighbours’ producer and casting agent who cast her in the role of Kelly Graham. She can be seen in the American network, ID Channel’s ‘People Magazine Investigates’ series as Melissa Barthelemy. She has been in a number of commercials, notably for Holden Motors and Jetstar Airways, music videos, and has voiced animation, as well as radio commercials and promotions. As a Scottish-born and Australian-raised actor, Zenith has been praised for her expert accent and voice work.
For the web, she was cast in the Sydney-based series ‘Surry’, and was a lead actress in both seasons 1 & 2. She has created her own body of acting work for YouTube. Online, she can be seen in her own 8-episode series’ ‘Roommates’ and ‘Eilidh’. She hosted both the World Film Fair, held in Santa Monica, as well as the Dreamachine Film Festival in North Hollywood in 2019.
In 2020, StandAsOne Productions signed a 3-project deal with Zenith, and she will star in Rosemary Griggs'
