Zenith Ander is an
actress based in Los Angeles.
She is a professional member of the prestigious BAFTA Los Angeles, Australians in Film, Scottish Screenwriters, Women in Moving Pictures (W.I.M.P.S), and is the founder of Female Film Connect, which boasts over 1,600 Los Angeles based film professional members. Her production 'Roommates' has won
multiple awards for Best Web / TV Series and Best Acting for her roles as Tash and Mackenzie at the Flicks Monthly Film Festival, 1st Monthly Film Festival and the URUVATTI International Film Festival. Zenith has also won Best Web Episode at the Eurasia International Monthly Film Festival for 'Eilidh'.
She began her acting career in Children’s Theatre as a teenager, cast in a multitude of shows over a number of years produced by the acclaimed ‘Cartoon Creations’, along with other theatre companies including the Jack of All Trades' production at Ripponlea Estate.
Her debut television role as Tania Morgan on the multi-award winning ‘Blue Heelers’, premiered on Channel 7 in Australia while she was still studying at The William Bates Academy of Performing Arts in Melbourne, Australia.
Zenith’s theatre career spanned multiple cities throughout Australia. She starred as Anneke in ‘Shallow Heart’ at the Blue Room Theatre, Perth. Soon after, she was cast in the Melbourne Short and Sweet Festival production of ‘The Knitting Circle’, performed at the Melbourne Arts Centre. In Sydney, she was cast in Peter Flaherty’s ‘Perfidy’ for Crash Test Drama. She is a live script reader for television professionals in Hollywood through Live Read LA, and has studied improv at the renowned Upright Citizen’s Brigade and Groundlings theater schools. She subscribes to the Meisner technique of acting, and was accepted into Advanced Study at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, where she studied under Howie Deutch and Allen Barton, as well as at Playhouse West with Robert Carnegie.
Zenith has worked in film in Australia, France and the United States. She has starred in a number of short films, her first was in the lead role of Adrielle in ‘Left of Centre’. Zenith is an official selection judge for the BAFTA Student Awards each year, and the NoHo (North Hollywood) Cinefest.
Zenith’s international television career began as a host and interviewer on Melbourne’s Channel 31. She presented the shows ‘Pathways’ and ‘In Search Of’. She can be seen in the American network, ID Channel’s ‘People Magazine Investigates’ series, as well as 'Murder in the Heartland'. She has been in a number of commercials, notably for Holden Motors and Jetstar Airways, music videos, and has voiced animation as well as radio commercials and promotions. As a Scottish-born and Australian-raised actor, Zenith has been praised for her expert accent and voice work.
She has created her own body of acting work for YouTube. Online, she can be seen in her own 8-episode, multi-award winning series’ ‘Roommates’ and ‘Eilidh’.
She hosted both the World Film Fair, held in Santa Monica, as well as the Dreamachine Film Festival in North Hollywood in 2019.
